Open Question: How to configure linksys WRT54G wireless router without CD?
I purchased a Linksys WRT54G wireless router (version 4) from amazon and when it arrived in the mail, there was no CD with it. I thought it was a new router, but I think it must have been used as it has a goodwill price tag on the underside of it. How do I get this router to send a wireless signal throughout my house without the CD? So far I have connect the blue ethernet cord from the router to my internet modem and another ethernet cord from my router to my computer. I also have both the wireless router and the internet modem powered up. There is one numbered light on which is where I have the ethernet cord from the computer connected to the router and the internet light is blinking. I have done several internet searches trying to find how I can send a wireless signal through my house with this router and the main thing I got was to go to the address 192.168.1.1 and configure my router. The thing is though, is that while I can configure the router with a password and everything, I still cannot get connected to the internet. Can anyone walk me through this step by step?

I'm trying to access my media card on my Blackberry Storm 2. My OS is Windows 7 and I used the drivers that came on the disk and haven't found anything any more current. When I plug the USB in, I get a chime and my phone starts charging. Also, under device manager >> USB controllers, Blackberry Smartphone is listed. Under the properties, it says the device is working properly. But when I click on my computer, there's nothing there. How can I access the videos stored in my phone? It seems like everything is working as it's supposed to...this seems excessively complicated, I hope it's not just me making a stupid mistake.

My windows media player used to play every movie or show i downloaded from Frostwire but one day my cat stepped on the keyboard and the small rectangle changed to a very tall rectangle and now says the codec isn't supported for all the videos I try to watch unless it's one of the videos I had already downloaded before this happened. I'm running Windows 7 and somehow I got this virus. There's C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\REGSRV.EXE and C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\MRTxxxx.TMP\STDRT.EXE where xxxx are numbers (theres ~10 of these folders in my TEMP folder, all with STDRT.EXE inside, and some of them have a bunch of other random files in there as well (some of them just STDRT.EXE). I'm not sure if I got it recently or a long time ago, because old system restore points still had it, but it's possible the system restore points were infected as well. Also, I haven't even been noticing any issues at all with my computer (weird because everyone else with these files had a lot of problems from them). So, starting from the beginning, an AVG scan just randomly found regsrv.exe (don't confuse this with regsvr.exe) which deleted it. I did a couple system restores back and forth (tried later dates each time), and when undoing it the second time I got an error saying the system restore didn't complete successfully (it was weird because everything was back from what I could tell, only difference I saw was that regsrv.exe was back. I did one more system restore point to a manual save I did, and that fixed it, regsrv.exe wasn't there. I now downloaded avast antivirus and malwarebytes and scanned with all three (not at once) to see if they found anything, which they did not. After further googling, I discovered that I would also find the stdrt.exe files inside my temp folder, which I did, and for some reason they weren't even detected by any of the scans. Finally, I decide to download Kaspersky (30 day trial), since some people had luck with that. Now it gets kind of ugly. So, while downloading Kaspersky, I try to download two more programs (warrior of RegRun, and UnHackMe, both from the same company) to try afterwards that were known to fix my exact problem, however I was unable to do this (not sure if it was because of the virus or something wrong with the site but the pages wouldn't load). Everything was going really slowly once I started downloading Kaspersky, and at one point my Windows Firewall randomly turned off (I immediately turned it back on). The download finishes, and I start to update the database, and my computer continues to run really really slowly. When the update got to 85%, it stopped (timer kept going), and everything was especially slow. I was unable to close anything, I couldn't cancel the update, or open task manager or end any processes, it was just too slow (I managed to close windows media player, but that took a while). After a few minutes of this, all of my desktop icons disappeared, along with the taskbar/start menu/etc. at the bottom of the screen. All I could do was alt tab between two open firefox browsers and 2x explorer. I had to shut down manually (from the button on the computer). I restarted and decided to run using safe mode. It started fine, and I decided to delete the only three files in my C:\Windows\System\ folder (latest.dat, tubelist.dat, update.dat) which I believe are also a part of the virus, as well as all of the MRTxxxx.tmp files that contained stdrt.exe. I then ran an AVG scan (which uses command in safe mode) and I believe it was scanning the registry first, where it detected avp.exe as adware (avp.exe is Kaspersky). So, I think the virus must have hijacked the kaspersky download. What should I do now? The AVG scan is still going, and it's getting a lot of 'locked file' messages and not scanning those files (things like My Music, My Documents, but also a bunch of important sounding files like C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systempr ofile\NetHood). Help please!

Open Question: Monitor glitching at startup?
Whenever I boot the computer (or the monitor, if left off for a while), the screen will fade out to white and then shut off altogether. The only solution I've found is turning it on and off and etc until it fades out to invert the screen I have, then it'll glitch out into the normal screen. This started about two weeks ago, and I have no idea what it might be. I recently scanned for viruses and got rid of most of them, I think. Also, I'm running Windows Vista.

Open Question: HTC Hero Multiple Networks Conflict in VISTA(Ultimate)?
Whenever i connect my HTC Hero to my desktop i get a networks conflict, one identified network that i recognize and a second "unidentified network" shows up resulting in a loal access connection ONLY, if i try to d/c the unidentified netowrk the other one DC's as well, when i first connected my HTC Hero i didnt have this problem, but once it started only one other time was i able to connect to the internet through my HERO before again this started happening, i have tried re-installing the drivers for the HERO maintining the uninstalling the HTC Sync rules, but i am having no success, whenever i connect my HERO to my laptop which is running Windows 7 i never have an issue... someone help i HATE VISTA(Ultimate)!

Everytime I have visited a site today the web page loads in like a mobile device type format and not very many pictures are loading right, the picture is very discolored and has lines running through it. Open Question: How to burn drm removed iTunes TV shows to disc for my dvd player on a mac?
I have found the full version of M4VConverterPlus great for removing the drm from my iTunes tv shows and movies converting them MP4 files that I can export. I just find it hard to burn them to disc in a format that my dvd player will recognise and is of good quality with this program. If I export the MP4 files to iSkysoft or Aimersoft I can burn them to DVD5 which works great but I am loathed to buy the full versions so the copies are watermarked. Can anyone suggest a free program or tell me the options to select with M4VConverterPlus for good quality DVD playable copy. DRM is so unfair. I have bought the darned thing,not pirated it, and I just would rather watch it on the telly with my family rather than huddle around the monitor! Any advice greatly appreciated!

I just Jailbroke my 2 gen touch and have cydia, installous and winterboard.. Downloading themes, etc. work off cydia, but installing apps off installous don't show on my home screen! what would happen if i plug an power cord supply with a hogher voltage from another HP laptop to my laptop whose battery voltage is lower than the power supply? The power supply output is 18.5 and my battery said 10.5v. my power supply and that one with the higher voltage look EXACTLY the same and their both HP. I have this card in my computer. I have asked a question on here about crossfire and been told its a rubbish card. I understand that graphics cards are mainly used for high spec games like GTA or something, but if I only want to use the card for things like Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon and similar games, is this card adequate? I am asking as I have these games to play, but my computer wont run them as it has a bad processor and the disc drive only works when it wants to, so I am planning to buy a new one with better specs. Open Question: Router isnt supplying wireless connection to my Xbox and laptop USB device?
Hello there, Routers been supplying the connection fine to my xbox and laptop device for a good few weeks now without any hassle, and all of a sudden the connection got very weak and eventually stopped. I have logged on to the router gateway and setup the wizard again however im not sure how i can get the router to supply the internet again- The router is working fine and dandy im using the internet through an ethernet cable however its just the wireless thats not working even though the little symbol on the router is lit up green along with all the other nessacary ones. I have also checked my attatched devices to the router to make sure the neighbours arent hijacking my connection as i have no security on it ( I find it weakens the connection sometimes) and they are definetley not. If anyone experts or technicians could give me an idea on how to get the flow of wireless internet going to my xbox and laptop again i would be eternally greatful-Thanks in advance. Regards, Maccabe.

I did a project in photoshop a few weeks ago ...it was a poster, and had many different layers, etc.. no matter how big or small i would make the next layer, the image would always restore itself so that there would be little to no pixels. I'm doing another poster, but this time all of my images are becoming very pixelized no matter how big or small i make the image. Is there some sort of option that should be checked off to prevent this from happening? How can I make my images not pixelized anymore? My other poster turned out just fine .. :(

I am trying to create a choose you adventure story in Java and I want to add pictures to go along with my story. What I want to know now is how to get the picture to pop up when the user goes through the story WITHOUT stopping the program. So, say the user decides "to attend a birthday party". My program is based off of one large class with a ton of nested if else loops. So, the choice to attend the birthday party should take the user to a new set of senarios to choose from. When the user chooses to go to the birthday party, I want the picture of cake to pop up then go away, allowing the user to continue on with the program. How in the world do I do that? Sorry if this question is worded stupidly or even if the entire question is stupid-- I am total novice and have been self-teaching myself for a while.

I went to my cousins profile and clicked "view all", and I realized Facebook only showed me 8pages of her friends. Because I was going for the Z's. I thought maybe she doesn't have him anymore or something, because it only went up to the letter M. So I went to my friends and same thing, only 8pages to look through. Have any of you noticed?
