Open Question: A Question on JAVA IDEs?

After googling "Textpad debugger", I found this: http://www.javaprogrammingforums.com/java-ides/3164-textpad-program-running-problems.html. In this forum, someone said "I don't think textpad has direct support for running Java programs as a debugger. I took a quick google search on textpad, and it looks pretty much like a standard text editor without any debugging tools." Is this true? If so, would you recommend that I use a different IDE?
