Open Question: ATi Radeon 9550 258MB card?

I have this card in my computer. I have asked a question on here about crossfire and been told its a rubbish card. I understand that graphics cards are mainly used for high spec games like GTA or something, but if I only want to use the card for things like Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon and similar games, is this card adequate? I am asking as I have these games to play, but my computer wont run them as it has a bad processor and the disc drive only works when it wants to, so I am planning to buy a new one with better specs. I was just making sure that once I had bought a new computer, this card will be good enough for the games.
