Nominations for the 2012 gala for People's Choice Awards were announced this morning in Beverly Hills.
The film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the final chapter of the popular franchise, is named nine times including in the categories Film Favorite, Best Actor (Daniel Radcliffe) Better distribution of all movie stars and favorite under the age of 25 years (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint).
In the category of favorite movies, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" face "Bridesmaids", "The Help," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."
In terms of individual nominees is singer Katy Perry is ahead with seven citations in categories including favorite female artist, favorite pop artist, favorite Music Video ("Last Friday Night (TGIF)") and Song of year favorite ("ET" with Kanye West ").
The television series "Glee" was also nominated seven times.
The gala People's Choice Awards will be held January 11, 2012 at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Kaley Cuoco (the series "The Big Bang Theory") will host the evening.
The event will be broadcast live on U.S. network CBS.
