Open Question: Installing Vcast Media Manager Troublshoot?

I tried installing Verizon's Vcast Media Manager on my laptop (Windows Vista, 32-bit) but after the installation I got a message saying that I need to be running Windows Vista service pack 1 or higher. My laptop is set to receive updates automatically so I should have it installed already. I looked in my installed updates folder and it seems like I do have it. Would reinstalling hurt my laptop? Should I just try installing servicepack 2?
