I know that someone had answered this type of question but mine is a little different. When you start typing in the search you get a drop down menu with a list of names or events or anything that starts with those letters, for names it can be either last name or first name. If you are not friends with a person I know that the drop down menu will order the people based on how many mutual friends you have. However, when I typed in a name the first person on that list was a person that I am neither friends with nor do I have any mutual friends, how did this happen?

Ok, i have a Toshiba Satellite L500D/00V. I want to take good care of it as it has to last me 5 years. I hear that they have a known history for overheating after a yeah or so. So how do i prevent: -Overheating (always used on flat surface) -Bad battery wear -Keyboard wear -Paint wear (my last laptop has 2 black spots from where my wrists would sit) And any other advice would be greatly appreciated! I think my daughter spilled something on it and took some keys off trying to repair it before telling me. Now, When I put a password or anything in a address field.. it automatically comes up as `````````````````` even before touching anything and it goes on forever. I tried cleaning it with a very damp cloth still nothing. I disabled the keyboard and use another external one. STILL does it!!! the other keys on the external keyboard works but still that ````````````````````` does it there too. I'm afraid after $800 and just over a year old.. it is fried. Its NOT my PC. It can't be my internet connection, its not beasty, but 650KBps should be more than enough. Anyone know why Youtube videos would download much slower than other things? I can not watch most videos without pausing. (Yes, I have seen a download reach 650KBps.) Any help?
Open Question: Weird virus effecting virus scan and internet, help?
This virus is a bit strange, so stick with me. I can't do a full scan on Spyware Doctor, it will continue to start up but won't actually start scanning when I tried to run a full scan. I restarted my computer and managed to get it working once, it found a cookie, I removed the cookie, and immediately, I couldn't load any web pages online even though internet was working just fine. I thought it was the action of removing something using the virus scan that caused the internet problem, but I ran a quick scan, it found nothing, and I couldn't load web pages again. Afterward, any scanning using Spyware Doctor gets me absolutely no where, and I have to keep restarting my computer so it would quick trying to "start scan". I think the problem came from iffy sites I've visited, or the copy of photoshop I recently installed from my friend through a burned dvd. My computer's an asus, new, with windows 7 home premium. Please help with I.Ding virus and removal, thanks everyone!

Basically my mate had a virus on his facebook profile, so he had to make a new one. He added a few of my friends and so one time I stupidly clicked on his original profile and it came up with 'you've got a new friend added' which was the profile. so rightfully so i deleted it and now ever since the original profile has been spread onto my friends' profiles and into their friends' list..what should i do to get rid of it once and for all? Will my other friends know? is it only visible to my computer?-cheers.

Basically a security measure that you would need a password to every hard drive to get all of the information correctly. So say you had one harddrive in the US, one in the UK, one in Paris and one in Japan. Would that work? Or do the drives have to be in the same computer / LAN?
Open Question: Installing Vcast Media Manager Troublshoot?
I tried installing Verizon's Vcast Media Manager on my laptop (Windows Vista, 32-bit) but after the installation I got a message saying that I need to be running Windows Vista service pack 1 or higher. My laptop is set to receive updates automatically so I should have it installed already. I looked in my installed updates folder and it seems like I do have it. Would reinstalling hurt my laptop? Should I just try installing servicepack 2?

I just got a new computer with Windows 7. And I put the Kab (Tokio Hotel) font on it, and in WordPad it doesn't work! Is it the font or the computer? Can you choose screen resolution, what type of hard drive etc... and be able to buy the laptop on the same day? Can they open it up and switch the different parts around? Or do they have to make a phone call, order it, and tell you to come back in a couple days? By specs I mean switching between SSD and HHD, screen res, anti glare, hard disk size,software... I was trying to lock/ hide one of the files the "My Pictures" folder on my computer that I didn't want everyone using the computer to have access to, but I may have done it wrong & now I can't find it. How can find it, how can I lock it (only that folder) without locking out the internet and everything else that the family might use? The way I hid it: I clicked on Properties (of the sub-folder) I want to hide. I changed it to "hidden," but now I don't know how how to find a hidden folder. Also, I don't know how/ where to put a password on it. (Which I guess I could do if I wanted to "unhide" it but still have access to it.) I was never given the option to add a password.

Yeah, It works fine and all, but I'll be sitting there editing my video, when all the sudden it freezes. I'm wondering if this is my processor, but this is the first time in a few years of owning this program that this has ever happened. I constantly have to save my project every little bit of progress i make, so that when it freezes, i can alt+ctr+Del And end the process, open it back up, and continue with my project.
